As the Software Testing Academy project nears its completion at the end of October 2024, the project partners are diligently developing a robust Sustainability Strategy to ensure long-term impact. This strategy is aimed at maintaining access to STA resources, expanding their reach, and embedding them within educational and industry systems across Europe.
The STA Sustainability Strategy revolves around several key elements:
Core Elements of the Sustainability Plan
- Integration into Vocational Education and Training (VET) Systems:
A key goal is embedding STA’s training courses and materials into national and regional VET systems. This ensures future learners can benefit from the Academy’s outputs, empowering educational institutions to offer cutting-edge software testing education. - Long-term Platform and Resource Management:
The STA e-learning platform will be maintained and updated for at least two years post-project, ensuring that the innovative tools, courses, and personalized learning pathways remain accessible for learners across Europe. - Collaboration with Industry:
STA partners will continue collaborating with industry stakeholders, using the Academy as a talent hub to provide a stream of skilled software testers into the European workforce. The job bank will remain active, linking graduates to employers. - Promotion at European and International Levels:
STA will continue being promoted through European platforms like EPALE and Digital Skills Platform, as well as at industry conferences such as VLC Testing, expanding its reach to educational institutions and professionals across Europe. - Ongoing Learning Opportunities:
Through webinars, workshops, and the creation of new articles, STA will continue providing valuable learning opportunities for ongoing professional development in the software testing sector.
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
To reinforce the long-term applicability of the Sustainability Strategy, project partners will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement formalizes each partner’s commitment to maintaining and promoting the STA resources and ensuring the integration of the training modules within their respective educational systems and networks.
Measuring Success and Long-term Impact
The Sustainability Plan also includes clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure its effectiveness. These KPIs will track the adoption of STA materials by educational institutions, engagement metrics from the platform and social media, participation rates, and job placement statistics for course graduates.
Through these combined efforts, the Software Testing Academy will continue shaping the future of software testing education, supporting learners, educators, and the IT industry across Europe. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new chapter for STA!
